Advocacy activities (our interaction with Government & other stakeholders)

QMHOA advocates for its members with the State, Federal and Local Governments and other major stakeholders in residential manufactured homes parks on issues of concern.

All our advocacy is aimed at achieving our overarching goal of ensuring fairness for all. We continually work to create a level playing field where homeowners receive adequate protections through enhanced legislation and by having respectful and productive working relationships with all of the major stakeholders in the manufactured home park industry.

In recent years we have placed great emphasis upon reviewing changes and advocate for amendments to the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003 in line with our members’ interests.

As part of our mission and goals, we participate in various consultative groups within Government. These groups provide opportunities for us to submit changes for consideration by the relevant ministers.

All the work we do is underpinned and informed by our steadfast commitment and intention to ensure a fairer balance of power between homeowners and park owners through legislative change.
