One of the tasks undertaken by the Government Advisory Committee, in which MHOA participated throughout 2021, and continues to support in 2022, was to develop a Handbook for Home Owner Committees.
This Handbook is nearing completion and release, but after examining the draft copy, your Committee felt that there were a number of aspects which were not satisfactory.
These included too high a level of involvement with park owners/managers and that the Handbook was too lengthy and complex and failed to give simple, clear advice in some areas. Although we support the concept of this Handbook, unfortunately MHOA, and the other Queensland Manufactured Home Owner organisation, ARPQ, do not feel they can give their unqualified support to this Handbook in its present form.
